Obituary of Dorothy E Condon
Dorothy Ellen Condon peacefully left us after a three and a half year battle with ovarian cancer on April 29, 2024, at the age of 62.
Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband Frank Condon IV, her cherished children Michelle (Steve) Rollery, Heather Condon, and Franklin “Chase” (Diandra) Condon V, her adored grandchildren Lexi, Kenzie and Franklin Condon VI and Wes Rollery, her loving parents Richard and Gloria Suppiger, and her dear sisters Lynn Costa, Helen Suppiger, and Sharon Carolan.
Dorothy was born in Maspeth, Queens on February 17, 1962. Throughout her life, she remained in Queens to raise her family - her pride and joy. Dorothy devoted her life to her husband and three children and even earned the title of "second Mom" from extended family, close friends, and neighbors. Dorothy eventually became a treasured "Grammy" to her four grandchildren. Together, they formed a unique and indescribable bond that brought immense joy and warmth to their lives.
A faithful Christian, Dorothy will be remembered for her boundless love, unwavering forgiveness, and strong belief in the resurrection. Dorothy found joy in life's simple pleasures. No detail was too small for Dorothy and she was known for her annual Christmas craft days, her open door policy for family and friends, and her exceptional hosting skills. Those closest to her describe her as faithful, loving, caring, dedicated, welcoming, brave, determined, and steadfast.
Dorothy valued the importance of quality time spent with loved ones, whether over morning coffee or fun-filled game nights. Her love was unconditional and reflected the love God calls us to have for all. Her listening ear and ability to inspire others to be their best selves will forever be cherished. Dorothy cared deeply for all those around her, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
