Mary Riordan Wilhelm passed away peacefully on February 18, 2022 at the age of 79. She was the beloved wife of Karl J. Wilhelm for 54 years. Born April 1, 1942, she was the first child of Thomas F. Riordan, Sr. and Mary McKenna Riordan, and sister of Thomas, Jr. and Veronica Lindemann. A graduate of St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn (1963) and Columbia University Teacher's College (1967), she touched many lives as a teacher at P.S. 88 and then for more than 40 years at the Ridgewood Pre-School Center. Mary was a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was active for many years in St. Matthias R.C. Church as a Eucharistic Minister. She is survived by her devoted husband, Karl, her seven children, Tara (John) Forstrom, Erin (Kevin) O'Donnell, Matthew (Maureen), Timothy (Jaime), Damian, Brendan (Barrie), Kieran (Andrea), and her 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Connor, Deirdre, Maeve, Siobhán, Nathanael, Emiline, Malachi, Isaac, Eliana, Emma, and Isabelle.
