Obituary of Lillian Buonocore

Lillian “Lilly” Buonocore passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home in Queens, New York. She was 89 years old. Lillian was born on August 20, 1930 to the late Rose Globerman and Meyer Poster in Brooklyn, NY. She married Ferdinand Buonocore on February 26, 1955. Many knew her for her work ethic, spunky personality, and her independence. She worked hard her entire life. She loved going out with her friends, playing her favorite game, Bingo, and spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren Lillian is survived by her daughter, Roseann DiLuca and husband Natale DiLuca of Glendale, NY; grandchildren Gabriella DiLuca of Glendale, NY and Amanda Musser and her husband, Doug Musser of Norwalk, CT; and great granddaughter, Grace Liliana Musser. She is predeceased by her husband Ferdinand and their son, Richard Buonocore; and her siblings, Eleanor Rosasco, Molly Ruggero, and Martin Eskenarsky. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ridgewood Older Adult Center in Ridgewood. Lillian was an active member of their community, and spent much of her time there volunteering and attending activities.
