Obituary of Alan J. Reitter

Alan J. Reitter, 79, of Ridgewood and Centerport, departed these shores on June 9, 2018. He was beloved husband of Patricia (late), loving father of Susan (John), Glen (Donna) and Alison (Michael), cherished grandfather of Patricia, Carolyn, Danielle, Kailey, Sean, William, and Abigail and dear brother of Jane Mann. He was a Coast Guard veteran, USCG Licensed Captain, former owner of Ridgewood Chapels Inc., Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellow, and a 50 year member of the Bushwick Club.  He is loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.  Visitation will be Thursday (2-4 & 7-9 PM) at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral is Friday, 10:00 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, Inc. in Alan’s name.
