Dear Pastor Angelo Mena's family members,
I left New York about seven years ago, and I had no idea of the passing to an eternity of my beloved pastor, Angelo Mena.
My heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.
I pray your lives may continue to be a source of testimony to the world for the Kingdom of God.
Your friend

My heart aches for the Mena family to lose in death your precious loved one Mr. Angelo. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 I know he has quoted the following scriptures many times. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection.
John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day".
John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."
John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life.
I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of Joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times. The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to me at my email address: myranj@centurytel.net

Rev. Angelo Mena was one of the Pastors at Christ Tabernacle church. I started attending Christ Tabernacle back in the year 2000. I first met Pastor Mena in 2002 when I filled out the application for Baptism at Christ Tabernacle. The church secretary called me up and told me I had to come in to talk with a pastor. I had a meeting with Pastor Mena. After the meeting Pastor Mena mentioned to me that he was going home and he offered me a ride home. I declined the ride home at the time but appreciated the offer and never forgot it. I used to see Pastor Mena around church from time to time and I would say hi when I saw him. In 2014 when my Mom passed away and I was home alone the first time, I started to break down and I couldn't take the stress and loneliness of being alone in an empty house. I called the church to speak with a pastor. The secretary took my phone number and passed it along to Pastor Mena. Pastor Mena left a voicemail on my phone with words of comfort and scripture. When I listened to the voicemail Pastor Mena left and heard everything he said it comforted me and helped me through this very difficult time in my life and I never forgot it. I thanked Pastor Mena the next time I saw him in church. It broke my heart when I was in church on Sunday and heard that Pastor Mena had gone home to be with the Lord. My condolences to the Mena family in this difficult time in their life. I love and miss Pastor Mena. Pastor Mena Thank you for all your help.

I met Rev. Angelo in 1976 when he was residing at the Salvation Army home in NYC. Brother Angelo was always a man of prayer seeking to be a blessing to everyone he met.
He was seeking that life hid in Christ in God. He prayed many times with me often on our knees as we sought to be changed by God and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Brother Angelo was a gift from God. A trustworthy man.
We were part of the blessed fellowship in Williamsburg, Ridgewood, Ozone Park, Floral Park and Pilgrim Camp.
May Jesus be a greater living reality to his wife Sophie and his family as well as all of us.
Brother Angelo, I believe is smiling, alive in spirit experiencing the radiant love and glory from our everlasting Lord Jesus.
