Richard Augustave Suppiger passed away at the age of 89. Born on October 5, 1936, to Bertha and John Suppiger, he grew up in Maspeth, NY.

Richard attended Grover Cleveland High School, where he met his beloved wife, Gloria Westley. They were married on October 27, 1957, and shared 68 wonderful years together. They were blessed with four daughters: Lynn (Costa), Dorothy (Condon), Helen (Suppiger), and Sharon (Carolan).

In 2001, Richard retired from UBS/Paine Webber as Vice President, Over the Counter Trading, enjoying nearly 25 years of happy retirement. Richard’s true legacy and the joy of his life, were his 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A devoted man of faith and a Bible scholar, Richard lived in the Word. He was known for his passion for sharing the gospel, often engaging strangers with scripture and encouragement.

Richard was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, “Pops,” and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and his daughters Lynn, Helen, and Sharon. He was predeceased by his daughter Dorothy and his brother John.

He made a difference in many lives, and he will be greatly missed.
