Dear Eric, Gene & John,
My deepest heartfelt condolences for the death of your mom. She was truly a very special person who was always very kind & sweet to everyone she met.
I met your mom 28yrs ago and she immediately made me feel welcome & at ease when I stayed at your home once. Whenever we were in each others company she was always so sweet & accepting of me for which I'm very greatful for. The most precious thing a person can give is their love, warmth, kindness & a welcoming spirit that your mother had in abundance. Those are the things that have left a mark in my heart & I'm sure in the hearts of others as well. After so many years of not seeing her, she would tell Eric to say hello & good wishes to me whenever we spoke. The fact that she never forgot me is a testament to who she was & I will treasure it always.
Through the years Eric would share stories about her with great love & gratitude for the sacrifices she made. She was for the most part a single mother who struggled & fought to give her sons the best she could provide under very chaotic & trying times . Life was never easy & full of uncertainty but she never waivered. Her love was unconditional & she tried to do the best she could under overwhelming circumstances . She was a mom first but, she was also a friend when needed & a shoulder to lean on.
I will always remember her for who she was & it was a privilege & an honor to know her. In those days when she comes to mind I will remember her smile that lit up her face as I had never seen before & that's a gift she gave to me.
I hope to see you one day mom and say HELLO!
